Our Mission:
To support decision-making that produces and sustains good results for
children, families, and communities. The Finance Project develops and
disseminates research, information, tools, and technical assistance for
improved polices, programs, and financing strategies.
Our History:
The Finance Project was founded in 1994 with support from a consortium
of national foundations interested in ensuring the viability and
sustainability of promising initiatives that contribute to better
futures for children, families, and communities.
In the past decade, the size and scope of our work has grown
significantly and well beyond that initial vision. Throughout our
history, we have worked in close partnership with many national, state,
and local groups to provide a range of supports and services. But we
remain firmly focused on helping our clients develop solid financing
plans and strategies to sustain their programs. Our financial support
comes from many national and regional foundations, federal agencies,
and state and local organizations and groups. Several of our original
funders continue to support our work.
