Program Associate I and II

The Finance Project, a specialized non-profit research, consulting, technical assistance and training firm, is seeking qualified applicants for Program Associate I and II positions.  The Finance Project helps leaders make smart investment decisions, develop sound financing strategies, and build solid partnerships that benefit children, families and communities. Assignments for the Program Associate position may include the following:  conducting research and analysis of relevant funding streams for education and human service programs; supporting research and program evaluation of education and human service programs; and supporting technical assistance to states and communities regarding financing and sustaining promising initiatives.

Duties of the Program Associate
Program Associate must demonstrate the ability to perform the following:

  • Provide strong conceptual and analytic skills.

  • Gather and organize information and data from a variety of sources to support sound technical analysis.

  • Writes clearly and effectively for a variety of relevant audiences.

  • Demonstrates strong public presentation skills.

  • Demonstrates sound ability to follow guidance and complete tasks on-time and within budget.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in public policy, economics, public or business administration, or related fields and at least 3 years of work experience in public policy research, analysis and project management, and technical assistance and training.  Preference will be given to candidates with specialized subject area experience in public finance and accounting; education and education reform; health; out-of-school-time programs and services; early childhood programs and services, including Head Start, Pre-K, and child care; positive youth development; and/or child welfare.

Successful candidates must possess excelent research, analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.

Salary Range

$45,000 - $70,000
