Project Manager I and II
The Finance Project, a specialized non-profit research, consulting, technical assistance and training firm, is seeking qualified applicants for Project Manager I and II positions. The Finance Project helps leaders make smart investment decisions, develop sound financing strategies, and build solid partnerships that benefit children, families and communities. Assignments for the Project Manager position may include the following: managing and overseeing projects related to research and analysis of funding streams for education and human service programs; designing research studies and conducting program evaluation of education and human service programs; and designing and providing technical assistance to states and communities regarding financing and sustaining promising initiatives.
Duties of the Project Manager
The Project Manager must demonstrate the ability to perform the following duties:

Provides expertise expertise in study design, analysis and interpretation; the development of user-friendly tools; and technical assistance and training.

Understands learning styles and needs of alternative audiences, including policy makers, government program managers, foundation executives, education and human service professionals, community leaders, as well as non-technical audiences, and writes effectively to address them.

Demonstrates outstanding public presentation skills with experience and expertise in video-conferencing and teleconferencing, as well as more traditional on-site presentations.

Has deep experience in the design and delivery of technical assistance and training for specialized audiences of policy makers, government program managers, education and human service professionals, and non-professionals.

Has strong demonstrated staff and project management skills and experience.

Assumes major responsibility for planning and coordinating projects and activities in particular content areas.

Successfully oversees projects and is responsible for completing work on-time and within budget.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should have a Master’s degree in child development, education, public policy, public or business administration, or a related field and at least 5 years of work experience involving public policy research, analysis and project management, business development, and technical assistance and training. Preference will be given to candidates with specialized subject area experience in public finance and accounting; education and education reform; health; out-of-school-time programs and services; early childhood programs and services, including Head Start, Pre-K, and child care; positive youth development; and/or child welfare.
Successful candidates must possess excellent research, analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
Salary Range
$65,000 - $90,000
