Senior Program Associate I and II
The Finance Project, a specialized non-profit research, consulting, technical assistance and training firm, is seeking qualified applicants for Senior Program Associate I and II positions. The Finance Project helps leaders make smart investment decisions, develop sound financing strategies, and build solid partnerships that benefit children, families and communities. Assignments for the Senior Program Associate position may include the following: research and analysis of relevant funding streams for education and human service programs; research and program evaluation of education and human service programs; tool development to assist program leaders in making good financing decisions; and providing technical assistance to states and communities regarding financing and sustaining promising initiatives.
Duties of the Senior Program Associate
TheSenior Program Associate must demonstrate the ability to perform the following duties:

Provides expertise in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

Develops user-friendly tools to assist education and human service program leaders and applies them to complex challenges.

Provides technical assistance and training related to specific content areas for specialized audiences of policy makers and government program managers.

Works productively and collaboratively on multi-disciplinary project teams.

Writes clearly and effectively for a variety of relevant audiences, including non-technical audiences.

Demonstrates strong public presentation skills with experience and expertise in video-conferencing and teleconferencing, as well as more traditional on-site presentations.

Provides oversight and guidance to individual program associates and assistants on specific tasks.
Completes assignments successfully, on time, and within budget.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should have a Master’s degree in child development, education, public policy, public or business administration, or a related field and at least 5 years of work experience involving public policy research, analysis and project management, and technical assistance and training. Preference will be given to candidates with specialized subject area experience in public finance and accounting; education and education reform; health; out-of-school-time programs and services; early childhood programs and services, including Head Start, Pre-K, and child care; positive youth development; and/or child welfare.
Successful candidates must possess excellent research, analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
Salary Range
$50,000 - $90,000
